The Arab Network for Early Childhood (ANECD) is delighted to extend its warmest invitation to an insightful webinar in Arabic titled “Initiatives to Support Early Childhood Workforce” on Thursday July 27, 2023 at 3:00 PM Beirut Time. This event wraps up a month-long partnership with the Early Childhood Workforce Initiative (ECWI) throughout which we have shared a handful of ECWI’s resources essential for informed policymaking related to ECD workforce. With the same goals, ANECD looks forward to contextualizing ECWI’s work in the Arab World. The webinar will begin with a presentation introducing ECWI by International Step by Step Association (ISSA). Afterwards, it will examine labor rights in Arab countries by the International Labor Organization then delve into the working conditions of teachers in Lebanon by the Center of Lebanese Studies (CLS). ANECD will also have its share of research contributions showcasing its work towards better working conditions and mental health of ECD workers in the Arab World. Join us as we bring together renowned experts and organizations working diligently in this field to discuss crucial aspects that shape the lives of young children and their caregivers.

On July 18th, 2023, the Research Forum at the Moving Minds Alliance (MMA) hosted a webinar titled "Amplifying Research Voices & Highlighting Young Children in Emergency Settings: Latin America & the Caribbean". The event featured presentations from the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) on the situation of children, Mexican young children seeking asylum at the Mexico-U.S. border, and the need to gather data on migrant children. The goal is to amplify emerging research and address the challenges faced by these children in the region.
